Entry Rules

Registration Dates:

November 1 – 15th, 2025 by 10:00 pm (no exceptions)

Eligibility:

All competitions are open to amateurs only. The term “amateur” shall mean one who is studying under a qualified teacher and whose principal income is not derived from services or from solo performances in the particular category in which he or she is competing.

Registration is based on age as of December 31st of the year preceding the Festival.

All registered selections must have a title.

A registered selection can be performed only once in a competition during the Festival.  A registered selection can be repeated from a previous year if it is presented by a different person or persons.

Where definite age groups are specified (ex. under 11 or under 14, etc.) or where definite stages of musical progressions are specified, participants may enter only once in one classification within any one section.

All participants must sign the online waiver through the registration system.

Payment:

Payment will be through the computerized registration system to be received no later than 10 p.m., November 15th, 2024.

Refunds:

No refunds are permissible, except for accident or illness. Requests for refunds are to be in writing (emails acceptable) and accompanied by an explanation of withdrawal. If an entrant does withdraw for any reason, please notify NIFPA as soon as possible. Email: info.nifpa@gmail.com.

Dance Workshop Registration:

The deadline to register for Dance Workshops as part of a participant’s dance provincial solo representative eligibility is November 15th, 2024.

Music for Dance Entries:

All music must be uploaded via the online registration system no later than January 15th.
